The Cabo de Gata Natural Park is a natural space of wild beauty. In it the desert landscape and the sea cliffs coexist. A natural, dreamlike place to celebrate a wedding in Almería, with almost virgin beaches and wild vegetation where cacti and the typical pitas of the area stand out.
Anabel and David felt trapped by the beauty of this area, and here they decided to celebrate the party after their ceremony (link here). For this they chose one of the most charming spaces: The Genoveses Factory. An old rope factory that has been restored and is maintained as an event venue. One of those sites that preserves the beauty of times past in an incomparable natural enclave.
So with this environment, we had at our disposal a wonderful canvas on which to build a careful decoration while integrating into the environment. For this we work with a color palette of greens, bougainvilleas and yellows that were integrated very well.
We welcome guests with a welcome corner that we decorate to highlight the beauty of the place and which we accompany with a lemonade corner. This first reception point turned into an impromptu photocall where the guests and the couple took their group photos while enjoying a soft drink and a small snack.
Carolina Bouquet was in charge of all the staging, as well as the floral decoration of the rest of the celebration. Our team of wedding designers worked closely with her and with the catering, La Borraja, to achieve a staging that caught all the senses.
As we mentioned, this welcome corner became an improvised photocall where the couple, like the guests, took photos to immortalize the happiness of that day. A perfect corner for a wedding in Almeria.
Anabel was spectacular in a Pronovias dress, which was customized for her at Pronovias Granada. She accompanied her look with a bouquet by Carolina Bouquet, headpiece by Nicte Tocados and styling (hair and make up) by Tonylo García Estilistas.
Hosting with a peppermint lemonade is always a great idea at spring and summer weddings. A refreshing idea that in this case we accompany with bags of homemade potato chips that were delivered to the guests upon arrival. All this served by La Borraja.
Our team of wedding designers also arranged other reception points, such as a corner of sunglasses, much needed in the area, and raffia pai-pai, winking at the past of the factory where the wedding was celebrated.
We also had a corner where we could share with the guests part of the history of the bride and groom.
The guests enjoyed a wonderful cocktail. We had to move it inside because a strong wind was blowing that day, but it integrated perfectly inside the factory. Gastronomic corners such as the cheese table, the ham cutter and a large selection of canapes stood out. Many of the canapés made a nod to Arabic and Granada cuisine, the bride’s hometown.
One of the most special corners was “El rincon de la Lela” that we created especially for the groom’s grandmother. We wanted to create a comfortable space for her, where she could sit down and feel like one of the most special guests that day at the wedding.
The children also had a children’s corner, a collected space, with tepees and little houses and all the necessary games to play accompanied by their monitors.
All the wedding stationery, from the invitations, sitting, minutes, posters, signage … was designed by the groom. The stationery perfectly reflected the color palette of the enclave wedding where it was held. A very elegant and special stationery.
As a gift, the bride and groom wanted their guests to take a piece of Cabo de Gata to their homes and remember it when the months passed. Therefore, they gave each guest a small cactus, a crass, an item that the bride also wore in her bouquet.
For lunch, we work on an assembly of long tables. We create a Tuscan style lunch with imperial tables. To highlight the place of the bride and groom, we decorated their chairs in a special way, with two vegetable hearts with the letters MRS and MR.
The tables stood out for an exquisite decoration. Lush green and bougainvillea garlands including yellow and fuchsia orchids, craspedia, and lemon wedges, brought from a family tree planted by the bride’s grandfather.
All the elements fit perfectly with the kitchenware that we chose together with the catering, the floral decoration that the florist commissioned, as well as the elements such as waiters and minutes that we incorporated into the decoration.
The moment of the cake was a surprise for the bride and groom, who did not know that the bride’s nephews were going to make him that gift. To do this, Lussocake designed a four-tier cake of the couple’s favorite flavor: carrot cake. Carolina Bouquet added the floral decoration and we finished off the cake with a personalized topper with the bride and groom’s name.
A very special moment was when the bride, Anabel, gave the bouquet to her sister, our director, Almudena Fernández. It was one of those moments in which a small tear escaped our team … after another.
To accompany the party, we had a donut buffet that we accompanied with other candies and savory. Undoubtedly, it delighted all the guests … And there is always room for sweeter.
Once the party started, it’s time to leave your heels and headdresses parked and dance!
And this is the summary of one of the most special weddings that our team experienced last season. We were left with the image of Anabel and David by the sea, surrounded by a wild landscape, pitas and cacti.
