Eleonora’s and Samee’s wedding: Mendhi

Eleonora and Samee traveled from the United Kingdom to Granada to celebrate their destination wedding in Granada. There were two days of celebration with two different ceremonies (you can enjoy second day here), for which we gave our comprehensive organization service as a wedding designer and planner.

On the first day, the one we collect here, we celebrate a Mendhi of Turkish origin. We chose a space with history, a beautiful palace in Granada, El Jardin de Gomérez, where we celebrated the Mendhi and a cocktail after which the dances followed.

Eleonora, is of Turkish origin, with which her Mendhi followed the own traditions of Turkey: henna ritual covering the bride with a red veil, all a precious ritual, accompanied by music. The ceremony ended with the bride crying, for the pain of leaving her family, to become part of her husband’s family. At this point, the groom’s family dressed her in jewelry.

As the wedding designer and planner of this wedding, we designed a Mendhi with a vibrant color palette, with bright shades of red, purple and gold. Carolina Bouquet was in charge of carrying out this idea in a masterful way.

After the ceremony, a cocktail was served and the dances were held, where the guests and the bride and groom danced traditional dances together.

Isa Molina was in charge of the photography and Mr Philm of the video (you can see it at the end of this post).
