A destination wedding in Almería
Georgia and Laurence chose Almería to celebrate their wedding by the sea. And it was not by chance, since Georgia’s grandfather was one of those pioneers who, back in the 60’s, found in Almería an oasis where she could spend her vacations and later, where she settled.
Therefore, they had a family home in Carboneras (actually an apartment complex) that was the ideal enclave to celebrate their wedding, in their own family home, surrounded by their loved ones.
The space had many possibilities, but like any space not prepared for the organization of weddings, it required a great previous work. Therefore, Georgia and Laurance contracted our Wedding Planner and Designer service and we help them organize their entire wedding, from start to finish.
It took months of many preparations, technical visits to ensure that everything would work perfectly on the wedding day. A wedding, where we try to work with the maximum of local suppliers, because the couple had an interest in their wedding being as sustainable as possible. And for this we work with local suppliers, we take advantage of the furniture in the house, we reuse decorative materials, etc.
The entire wedding, from the preparations, through the ceremony and subsequent celebration, took place in the family complex and in the incredible central courtyard that had a pool and a gazebo.
Preparations
Laurence dressed his bestman and groomsmen together in one of the apartments in the house. Azaustre Wedding Photography was in charge of capturing all those shelves and the rest of the wedding images.
Laurence opted for a light beige suit that he combined with a blue tie. Without a doubt, an outfit that fit perfectly with the marine environment and the carefree and informal nature of the wedding.
Georgia got ready in another of the apartments. She was accompanied by her bridesmaids and her mother, who accompanied her during all the preparations. Some super casual preparations where there was no lack of complicity and laughter.
For both makeup and hairdressing, we look for a local supplier. Peluquería New Nieves, was in charge of styling the bride and the ladies.
Georgia opted for a flattering updo with braids and natural makeup. For the ceremony, she chose a lace dress with a voluminous skirt. She accompanied it with dusty pink shoes, floral headdress and bouquet in shades of white and peach, shades of the wedding color palette.
The bouquet was a design by Lis Florestería, who was in charge of the rest of the floral decorations of the wedding, including the bouquets of the ladies and the floral decoration of the subsequent cocktail.
Georgia complemented her look with a veil that belonged to the groom’s mother. It was that detail of great emotional value on a day when she could not accompany them.
During the preparations, the truth is that we lived moments of nerves, super funny moments, and a lot of complicity among the entire procession of ladies that accompanied Georgia.
Electric blue was the color chosen for the bridesmaids, who wore this color in their dresses. Georgia’s mother also opted for the same color, but in her case, she chose a cocktail dress.
One of the most special moments in the preparations occurred when the bride and the best man met before the ceremony. It was a very exciting and magical moment for those of us who lived it in the first person.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the main patio of the house, next to the pool. We take advantage of the house’s own furniture and the gazebo to host the ceremony.
We dressed the gazebo with fabrics and some simple flowers and decorated the chairs with flowers following the same color palette. We arranged fans and glasses for all the guests, which were super necessary on the sunny September afternoon of their wedding.
Georgia made the way to the altar accompanied by her father and Laurence waited for her at the altar with her bestman and godfather.
Theirs were a very emotional ceremony and had the participation of family and friends. The bride and groom exchanged their own vows and together we lived very emotional moments.
At the end of the ceremony, we received the couple with a great shower of dried flowers and rice.
Love Session
Before the bride and groom’s photo session, we organize a balloon release with them by the sea. We chose balloons following the wedding color palette, blue, peach-orange and white. Without a doubt, it was a very beautiful moment and it allowed the couple to have a photo with all their guests at the same time.
Arteglobos Fantasia, were in charge of preparing this release of balloons for Georgia and Laurence.
The beautiful beaches of Carboneras were the perfect enclave for this destination wedding in Almeria. The photos of Georgia and Laurence are without a doubt magical.
Celebration
While the bride and groom were taking their photos, our team, together with the catering team, were in charge of dismantling the ceremony. In the place occupied by this, next to the pool, the support tables were located for dinner, which was in a cocktail format with gastronomic corners.
The Asador Ajo y Guindilla restaurante was in charge of the gastronomy, and for this, it prepared a cocktail menu based on tapas and with the main dish paella, which was cooked live while the guests enjoyed the cocktail.
We decorate the tables with flower arrangements following the color palette, and on them we leave poetry chosen by the bride, who is a great passionate about literature.
One of the most special corners of the wedding was undoubtedly the dessert table. To do this, Lussocake, made a three-tier cake that was complemented with a wide variety of desserts.
George and Laurence’s wedding was a very family wedding, we lived in a very relaxed atmosphere. We even set up playgrounds, where guests could have fun and have a good time.
As night fell, we discovered the illuminated garden. Cara B Sound System was in charge of the lighting and sound of the space, creating a super cozy and romantic atmosphere.
The bride and groom followed the tradition of cutting the cake and opening the dance. A dance that lasted until the early hours of the morning.
