The seaside wedding of Georgia and Laurence

A destination wedding in Almeria.

Georgia and Laurence chose Almería to celebrate their wedding by the sea. And it was not by chance, as Georgia's grandfather was one of those pioneers who back in the 60s found in Almeria an oasis where to spend their holidays and later, where to establish their residence.

Therefore, they had a family home in Carboneras (actually an apartment complex) which was the ideal location to celebrate their wedding, in their own family home, surrounded by their loved ones.

The space had a lot of possibilities, but like any space not prepared for weddings, it required a lot of work beforehand. For this reason, Georgia and Laurance hired our service of Wedding Planner and Designer, and we help them to organise their entire wedding, from start to finish.

They were months of many preparations, technical visits to make sure that everything would work perfectly on the day of the wedding. A wedding where we tried to work with as many local suppliers as possible, because the couple wanted their wedding to be as sustainable as possible. And for this we worked with local suppliers, we took advantage of the furniture of the house, we reused decorative materials, etc.

The entire wedding, from the preparations, through the ceremony and celebration afterwards, took place in the family compound and in the incredible central courtyard with a swimming pool and gazebo.

Preparations

Laurence dressed together with his bestman y groomsmen in one of the flats of the house. Azaustre Wedding Photography was in charge of capturing all those shelves and the rest of the images of the wedding.

Laurence opted for a light beige suit and paired it with a blue tie. Without a doubt, a outfit which fitted in perfectly with the seaside setting and the casual and informal nature of the wedding.

Georgia got ready in one of the other flats. She was accompanied by her bridesmaids and her mother, who accompanied her throughout the preparations. The preparations were super carefree and there was no lack of complicity and laughter.

For both make-up and hairdressing, we are looking for a local supplier. New Nieves Hairdressing Salon, was in charge of styling the bride and bridesmaids.

Georgia opted for a flattering updo with braids and natural make-up. For the ceremony she chose a lace dress with a voluminous skirt. She paired it with powder pink shoes, floral headdress and bouquet in white and peach tones, shades from the wedding colour palette.

The bouquet was a design by Lis Floresteríawho was in charge of the rest of the floral decorations for the wedding, including the bridesmaids' bouquets and the floral decoration for the cocktail party afterwards.

Georgia complemented her look with a veil that belonged to the groom's mother. It was a detail of great emotional value on a day when she was unable to accompany them.

During the preparations, the truth is that we lived moments of nerves, super funny moments, and a lot of complicity between all the ladies that accompanied Georgia.

Electric blue was the colour chosen for the bridesmaids, who wore this colour in their dresses. Georgia's mother also opted for the same colour, but in her case, she chose a cocktail dress.

One of the most special moments in the preparations was when the bride and the best man met before the ceremony. It was a very emotional and magical moment for those of us who experienced it first hand.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the main courtyard of the house, next to the pool. We took advantage of the furniture of the house and the gazebo to place the ceremony.

We dressed the gaseo with fabrics and some simple flowers and decorated the chairs with flowers following the same colour palette. We provided fans and glasses for all the guests, which were super necessary on the sunny September afternoon of their wedding.

Georgia walked down the aisle accompanied by her father and Laurence waited for her at the altar with her father. bestman and sponsor.

The ceremony was very emotional and was attended by family and friends. The bride and groom exchanged their own vows and we experienced some very emotional moments with them.

At the exit of the ceremony, we welcomed the bride and groom with a big shower of dried flowers and rice.

Photo session

Before the photo session of the bride and groom, we organised a balloon release with them by the sea. We chose balloons following the colour palette of the wedding, blue, peach-orange and white. Without a doubt, it was a very nice moment and allowed the bride and groom to have a photo with all their guests at the same time.

Arteglobos Fantasiawere in charge of preparing this balloon release for Georgia and Laurence.

The beautiful beaches of Carboneras were the perfect setting for this destination wedding in Almeria. The photos of Georgia and Laurence are undoubtedly magical.

Celebration

While the bride and groom had their photos taken, our team, together with the catering team, were in charge of dismantling the ceremony. In the place where the ceremony took place, next to the swimming pool, the tables were set up for the dinner, which was in cocktail format with gastronomic corners.

The Restaurante Asador Ajo y Guindilla was in charge of the gastronomy, and for this, he prepared a cocktail menu based on tapas and with a main course of paella, which was cooked live while the guests enjoyed the cocktail.

We decorated the tables with flower centrepieces following the colour palette, and on them we left poems chosen by the bride, who is a great lover of literature.

One of the most special corners of the wedding was undoubtedly the dessert table. For it, LussocakeShe made a three-tiered cake which she complemented with a wide variety of desserts.

George and Laurence's wedding was a family wedding, which we experienced in a very relaxed atmosphere. We even set up play areas where the guests could have fun and have a good time.

As night fell, we discovered the illuminated garden. Cara B Sound System was in charge of the lighting and the sound system, creating a very cosy and romantic atmosphere.

The bride and groom fulfilled the tradition of cutting the cake and opening the dance. A dance that lasted until the early hours of the morning.
