Ana Belén and Jorge were very clear about it and that’s how we agreed at our first meeting. Theirs would be an autumn wedding, a morning wedding in late October (we love morning weddings!); an elegant wedding, where the color palette would be super autumnal and where the soundtrack of their wedding would undoubtedly be from The Beatles.
And with that starting point, with their full confidence, we organized an autumn wedding in Granada. For this we chose two very Granada celebration scenarios. For the wedding, The Basilica Nuestra Señora de las Angustias, patron saint of our city; and for the celebration, Casa Real Del Soto de Roma, a palace with a history that dates back many centuries ago, as it is said that King Boabdil hunted in those lands.
Preparations
For the preparations, we reserved a small Boutique Hotel in the center of Granada, Hotel Casa Palacete 1822. The bride and groom stayed at the hotel with their whole family, and as you will see, the preparations reflect the familiarity and many emotions that arose while the bride and groom they were preparing for their big day. Jess Photo, was in charge of capturing each of the moments that we are going to share.
Jorge chose a Cañizares Concept suit that he complemented with personalized cufflinks (with the couple’s initials).
His parents and brothers accompanied him. Jorge’s mother was radiant, impeccable in a classic mantilla and red dress.
A few meters away, a few floors above, Ana Belén was preparing with her sister and her parents.
For her big day, she chose a romantic Jesus Peiró dress that she complemented with forest green shoes from Uniq Shoes, Silvia Peinado‘s Headdress and Armiflor’s Bouquet, which was also in charge of decorating the venue (you can have a look to the complete decor at this link).
All the details of her styling created an impeccable look, for a romantic elegant autumn wedding, which fit perfectly with her personality and surroundings.
The photos of Jess Photo collect the incredible emotion and joy that was breathed in the preparations. Many tears of happiness.
Ceremony
The Hotel is very close to the Church, and that was the reason why Jorge decided to walk arm in arm with his mother to the Basilica.
Ana Belén, however, was in a classic car accompanied by her father. When they arrived at the door of the temple, a beautiful surprise was waiting for them, Los Escarabajos, a group that covers a song by The Beatles, received Ana Belén singing her favorite song, Here Comes The Sun.
The ceremony was tremendously emotional. Officiated by a family friend, it was full of unforgettable moments.
One of the rituals that were included in the ceremony was the blessing of the bride and groom with the rite of the veil, in it the mothers of the bride and groom cover the couple with a veil as a symbol of protection.
When the bride and groom left, a rain of rice and petals awaited them.
Reception
After the ceremony, the couple and the guests moved to Casa Real Del Soto in Rome for the celebration. There the photo session of the couple took place, in their romantic gardens, which Jess Photo took care of.
For the decoration of the room, as a wedding designer and planner, we opted for romantic autumn centers. But we will show you the decorative details in another post.
The cocktail was a real party, with a live concert by Los Escarabajos.
Party
After lunch, all the guests went to the party, but before, they wanted to do a balloon release, one of the most exciting moments.
The wedding lasted until late at night, and of course we had a romantic wedding dance, the perfect icing on the cake for this fall wedding.
